Trepidation

Many people strive hard to achieve their desired ambitions in life. If only we are holding the written events of our life story, maybe we can write down our own fate. If we can have the chance to know what will happen next to our life, or might as well know our future mistakes and failures, then we can erase those and change it into success and make the wrong ones into right ones

Some students (as I have observed and experienced) wanted to rush their studies. How they wished to finish their study as soon as possible, so after that, they can finally find a job and fulfill their dreams to make their family proud. There are also students that are afraid of growing up, because the more we spend our life on earth, the more responsibilities we can also have. These kind of people are afraid of rejections, failures, shame, and loneliness. Wishing and hoping that after graduating college, they can go back to the time, where they are still in pre-school, having some fun time with their family and friends, where the world around them only encircles school and home.

This fear of growing up usually starts during high school days, because the minds of teenagers at this rate are always curious about how things get to work in this world.

They don’t want to become one of the adults for what they saw were tons of responsibilities they always bear. In addition, most of them are still undecided for what they want to become in the future, like they are not always and forever ready for it. Always worried about many negative possibilities and not even considering the positive ones.

” What if my grades will go low? Or what if I’ll fail?”

“Will I live a successful life in the future after I finish my studies? Will everything go fine?”

These what-ifs are one the causes of their worriment and fear.

We all wanted to be prosperous in life. Right? Who would not want that? Imagine, you own a lot of properties like a big mansion and lot, a car, a nice king-sized bed to sleep at night, a big flat screen TV, a nice Sala set, you can have a kitchen filled with beautiful and expensive utensils for cooking. But always be reminded that we don’t need to be so much rich because we can’t bring those materials and our success on earth to heaven. For after living our life on earth, we will just die and our body will vanish.

To be born in a chaotic world is definitely difficult. But we are born to fight these afflictions. We don’t have to be a coward in facing the obstacles in life. Never fear, for we have loved ones and the most powerful King of all kings above! They are served as our back up in every battle in life. Stop thinking negatively, instead, start thinking on the brighter side. Be optimistic! There may be hundreds of thorns that will come in your life, but never give up easily. Be confident on what you can do. God would never put us in difficult situations if we can’t even escape out of the box because in the first place, He knew what His children’s capabilities.

Just put your chin up, and smile with no great trepidation for your future.
